This little sweetheart is Willi. Her Daddy brings her every week for a touch-up to keep her looking picture perfect. Willi's sister Molly joins her every other week. Both Maltese have very different personalities, but are equally huggable! ;-)
 Who's a happy girl? Crouton, that's who! Today was her first spa visit @ A Peaceful Pet and we are so happy to have met her. She is quite a gem this one. 
 Every Thanksgiving I go a little crazy preparing dinner. Several years ago I noticed a trend where more people I knew preferred eating out to a home cooked meal. So, I decided to cook for those who would most appreciate my efforts...my pets! This year is no exception. Here's the main course: cornish game hens w/ saffron rice dressing.  Delicious poultry served with sweet potato casserole and roasted veggies. This is my plate. ..and then there's the kids' servings...  White meat or dark? How about both! Don't worry, folks. I took the bones out before I served it. This photo is just for presentation. ;-)  Ready, set...feast! Think they enjoyed it? They LOVED it!  No holiday meal is complete without dessert. So, I prepared a Honey and Spice cake from scratch. Canine and humans-with-food-sensitivities friendly. Gluten free. No refined sugar. All natural. Seriously, I should open an interspecies restaurant. (Note the garnish.) After our meal, B.J. and I went for a power walk around the neighborhood while Baila slept dinner off on the sofa. I passed up two invitations to eat out today. This is my idea of fun! I hope you all had as much fun as we did. :-)
 Here's a little known fact: Thanksgiving is the day we celebrate B.J.'s birthday. My uncle found him running down the road in Big Spring, TX in the late 90's. We are so thankful to have had him in the family for 15years.  Rest well darling birthday boy. Dream of the annual Thanksgiving/birthday feast!  And visions of cornish game hens danced in their heads. :-)
Baila and B.J. enjoy a lazy morning while I prepare dinner. (Check Baila's little contented smile!) Later we'll meet friends to put up a Christmas tree. We all have a lot to be thankful for. Hope your day is wonderful, too. Happy Thanksgiving!  So now that I've put the jaw on him, I think I'm done. He feels finished to me...just like this. Critique? Maybe I'll crop it down. I'm really primarily interested in his expression.
 This is the first in a collection that I plan on calling the White Light series. I'll probably finish it tomorrow. What do you think? So far so good? (My cell phone is casting a pink light in the middle. Sorry.)

 Our friend Pumpkin is the most chilled out Bichon Frise around. She has been coming to A Peaceful Pet every two weeks for several years now. Today was just a bath and fluff for her. No trimming. Isn't she sweet relaxing in the play area?
 Doesn't Eli have a handsome profile? His Dad adopted him from Dachshund Rescue Of Houston and today was his first groom ever. Welcome to our little salon, sweet boy. <3  Eli says, "It's great to make new friends, especially when they appreciate how nice I smell after my groom."
