Pet Poison Prevention
For the last few weeks we've talked about the importance of play for enhanced pet longevity, choosing the appropriate toys for each pet's needs, and enriching our pets environments using the 5 senses for physical and mental stimulation. Given our previous blog posts and since we are in the month of March, this seems like exactly the right time to discuss Pet Poison Awareness.
Pets are curious creatures. Some object that we take for granted everyday can be absolutely fascinating for a dog or cat. Unfortunately, since pets often explore by tasting, mouthing and chewing things, accidental poisoning can occur.
The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters has written a wonderful article listing the most common household items and plants (indoors and out) that can be poisonous to our beloved fur-friends. You can read it here: NAPPS Pet Poison Awareness Article
Survey Results
Recently, I requested that pet parents fill out our 2023 Survey. As a "Thank you" for this valuable input, we offered a 50% OFF discount code. Many thanks to those of you that filled out the survey! I want to share some of the things that I learned and also answer some questions that came up. So, here we go, in no particular order...
People heard about our products and services in a variety of ways. Some people met us at cat or dog shows, others found us on the Internet, ect. Regardless, the vast majority said that they "love our discounts and use them frequently." Thanks you! That's good to know!
We had a lot of great suggestions for new products and we are already in the process of downloading them to our online store. Keep the suggestions coming! :-D
There was no consensus on new types of offers or discounts that folks might like. Everyone had their own ideas and that's perfectly fine. We'll integrate as many of those suggestions into our offerings as we can.
Pet Parents were more interested in Pet Food than our other product categories. That's really no surprise. We all have to feed the kiddos, right? But, the surprise came when no two people had the same favorite brand!
Every respondent said that customer service is very important. It's important to me, too, so we'll continue to try to do our very best. If we ever fall short of your expectations do not hesitate to reach out right away. You're the reason that we are here.
Most people said they enjoy educational videos! It's fun to share our love of pets and to learn new things, right!
In case you might be wondering, not all of the people that filled out the survey were PPD clients. About half shop somewhere else. To those folks I say, welcome! Thanks for offering your suggestions. We're glad you're here and hope you shop our store some day.
Most people said that purchasing all natural and organic products are important and they don't mind paying a little more if the products are healthy for pets.
There were requests to include products manufactured by companies that we do not currently work with. I am definitely looking into these possibilities, so expect new brand partners in the not too far off future. All input on this topic is welcome. No need to wait for a survey! But, please be aware, that while most products will not check ALL of the HOLISTIC boxes (natural, GMO-free, sustainable, earth friendly, free range, rendering plant ingredient free, non-toxic, cruelty free, BPA free and so on), if a product is not at least some or most of those things, it will not be included in our product line-up. This means that most of the dominant pet food companies that do the most advertising will not be found on our PetProductDelivery.com online store. They are less expensive in the short run, but they are more costly when it comes to our pets overall health and wellness. And, from what I'm seeing, that's exactly how our shoppers want us to continue choosing products: HOLISTIC ALL THE WAY!
Naturally, we want to offer the BEST products at the absolute BEST possible prices. We'll keep those weekly and monthly discounts coming! No worries there at all.

A word about FREE SHIPPING and other DISCOUNTS
For a long time we've limited FREE Shipping to members of our TextVIPClub. Since we currently have more email subscribers than TextVIPClub members, we're changing the way that we offer discounts. We still send offers via text, but we're being more assertive with our email offers. You'll also find discount coupons included in the package when you receive your orders. This means that a variety of offers will be available for more people in more ways. In addition, we will be offering FREE Shipping on any order of 150.00 or more. Anyone with a qualifying order can use the code FREE4ALL at checkout.
